Belongs to group called Bearded sugarbushes

grows into an erect shrub growing 2-3 m tall
stems are covered with dense longhairs
leaves are silvery, green turning purplish and surround the flower head
the flowers are fresh, bright green with white centre
grows in heavy clay soils with high rainfall
flowering occurs from Apr-Sep
lovely as a cut flower and is popular with protea collectors and florists as is only true green protea
they are easy to grow and are an unusual, attractive addition for any garden
